 Iskandar Development Region’s
Malaysia-Singapore Joint Ministerial Committee Held First Meeting in Johor Bahru
The Joint Ministerial Committee (JMC) for the Iskandar Development Region (IDR) met for its inaugural meeting at Pulai Spings Resort recently.
This meeting was jointly chaired by YB Dato Sri Effendi Norwawi, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Malaysia and H.E. Mr Mah Bow Tan, Minister of National Development, Singapore the JMC also included as members are the Chief Minister of Johor, YAB Dato Haji Abdul Ghani Othman and H.E. Mr Raymond Lim, Minister of Transport, Singapore.
Members of the committee agreed on the formation of four Work-Groups to look into facilitating immigration clearance, enhancing transportation links, tourism co-operation and environmental collaboration.
In regards of forming the Work-Groups, both YB Dato Sri Effendi Norwawi and H.E. Mr Mah Bow Tan are agreeable to this and well aware of the vast of advantages which will be benefiting both nations in terms of development and bilateral relationship.

“Janji Rock” with Ramli Sarip and Amy Mastura
Worldwide Holdings Berhad held its annual outing cum family day on Saturday, 28 July 2007 at Pulai Springs Resort recently. Employees of Worldwide Holdings Berhad and their family members experienced a 3D/2N stay at CintaAyu All Suites which was filled with fun and interactive telematch games organised by the Resort’s sports & recreation personnel. There were various types of games to cater to different groups.
The outing ended with the appearance of two special guests – Ramli Sarip and Amy Mastura who was invited to perform during the company’s Gala Dinner held at the Resort’s fully air-conditioned marquee, Dewan Kencanapuri.
Themed “Janji Rock”, everyone was dressed to the hilt in their glamorous outfits. There was also a variety of competitions and performances prepared by the organisers which included a lucky draw session. The highlight of the evening was a performance by the rock stars, Ramli Sarip and Amy Mastura which lasted for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. These stars performed numerous hit songs, much to the entertainment of everyone. Awards were also presented to the Best Dressed for Male and Female categories respectively.
Pulai Springs Resort is proud to play host to this group and celebrities. They were in high praises of the services and warm hospitality received during their stay at the brand new CintaAyu All Suites.
