ANNUAL
CUP CHAMPIONSHIP / RABBIT CUP 2006
A total of 93 participants had registered and played
for this championship held on 26 November 2006. A
stroke play over 36 holes with a 2 point start was
played at the Pulai Course over a period of two days.
The winner for the Men’s Division Nett was Thomas
Ng Lee Boon with a total nett score of 130 over two
days while Wong Fook Heng emerged as the runners-up
with a total nett score of 135 and Ooi Cheong Yeong
bagged the 3rd position with a total nett score of
138.
The ladies put up an equally good show as Jong See
Ai emerged as the winner for the Ladies' Division
Nett category with a total nett score of 139 while
Khoo Sin Noy took the runners-up position with a total
nett score of 143 and Teow Bee Kim grabbed the 3rd
position with a total nett score of 146.
The winner for the Men’s Division Gross was
Chai Kim Sin with an overall score of 147 while Wong
Chen Keang took the runners-up with a gross score
of 152 and Gabriel Cheok Wei Sheng bagged the 3rd
position with a gross score of 160.
For the Ladies’ Division Gross category, Leow
Mee Yek took home the winning title with an overall
gross score of 166, while Helen Ho Pueh Joo and Carine
Wong bagged the 2nd and 3rd position with an overall
gross score of 177 and 179 respectively.
Other novelties awards were Nearest to Pin won by
Wong Chin Ngim on day one and Irene Saw on day two
and the Longest Drive won by Wong Fook Heng on day
one and Benny Pang Fook Choy on day two.
Winners and participants ended the championship with
a buffet dinner at Gleneagles Terrace. |

Closure
Attention to all golfers
To
improve the condition of the greens at the Melana course,
the greens maintenance team will do cultural practice
of coring, verticutting and top dressing on all greens.
Melana course as such will be closed for play on:
11 December 2006 (Monday)
12 December 2006 (Tuesday)
13 December 2006 (Wednesday)
Golfers are requested to be patient as the putting surface,
naturally, will be sandy.
We regret any inconvenience caused.
