MELANA
COURSE CLOSURE (24-26 JULY 2006)
Melana Course will be closed from Tuesday, 24 July 2006
– Wednesday, 26 July for maintenance works. Coring
and scarifying are done within these 3 days to remove excess thatch
that have accumulated over time and supply oxygen to turf grass
roots.
Supplementary fertilizers (phosphate and magnesium) are applied
before topdressing so that they can be brushed down to the core
holes. These fertilizers have been used to correct the imbalances
that have been identified by soil testing.
Kindly note the course closure and we apologize for any inconvenience
caused.

CANCELLATION OF JULY MEDAL 2006
Kindly note that the July Medal 2006, scheduled on
29 July 2006 has been cancelled. Instead, golfers
are invited to participate in the Merdeka Medal in
August, details of which can be obtained at the Golf
Centre.
