MESSAGE
FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
Mr Gerard Hanssen
I
would like to take this opportunity to wish all members a belated
and prosperous 2006! I'm sure we are all excited to venture on
new paths and keep a positive lookout for new opportunities and
make this year a better one.
With
that being said, it is with heavy heart that I am announcing my
resignation from Pulai Springs. When I first joined the Resort,
there was no intention to stay this short span of time but I must
say that career and family interests have steered me to a different
direction. Throughout the seven months that I have been here,
I have worked hard with the rest of the team to make positive
changes and ironed out several vital issues in our resort operations.
While a few projects have shown its fruition, many are still budding
and will show their results in the near future.
The
biggest and most important achievements however, is that we have
a new but competent team to run the Resort - everything is falling
into its place. Please let the dust settle and soon, you will
be the proud recipient of uncompromised service and facilities.
I'm
proud and happy to be affiliated with Pulai Springs - both the
company and the people will continue to flourish and succeed in
their endeavours. Everyone here will have a very special place
in my heart. I wish you all the best in your future undertakings.

A
NOTE ON THE COURSE CONDITIONS
Alan Healey, Director of Golf Course Development
Due
to the heavy rain that we have experienced in the last 14 days,
both Pulai and Melana Course are regrettably not in their usual
high standards. For your information, we have recorded a total
of 400mm of rain the in last two weeks which are a lot higher
than the same period last year.
The
non-stop rain has made mowing and many maintenance works impossible
on certain areas especially on soft grounds. We regret any inconvenience
you may encounter during this very trying period.

SOCIAL AT PULAI SPRINGS
Date : 19 January 2005
Venue : Pulai Course
Entry fee : RM25.00 (pool, beer and snacks)
Golfers
may look forward to the first Thursday Social
game at Pulai Course next Thursday. The first event will be held
on 19 January 2005 and format of play is 'Texas Scramble'. In
the future, different format such as 'Two Balls Best Balls' (16
February) and 'Skin' (16 March) will be used in Thursday Social.
Tee off time is set at 1.30pm (two point start).
For
each game, RM10.00 will be set aside as the pool money apart from
the usual buggy fee. Golfers may then choose to opt for RM15.00
snack package (1/2 doz chicken wings with French fries + a mug
of beer) or RM25.00 Member's Day Buffet + a mug
of beer at Gleneagles Terrace. Additional beer (on Members' Day
only) is offered to all players at RM 7.00 nett!
We
welcome enquiries and bookings at Golf Centre direct line, 07-

Correction:
In our last issue, we inadvertently state total entry fee
at RM15.00. The error is regretted.

CANCELLATION
FOR WEEKEND GOLF BOOKINGS
For
weekend booking cancellation, we wish to remind all members to
call by Thursday afternoon (12.00 noon) to cancel their flights.
Cancellation for slots booked after 12.00 noon on Thursday will
be subjected to No Show Charges which is RM200.00 per slot. |
